When planning my route from Osaka, I stumbled across an overnight ferry option. Skeptical but curious, I booked it — and it turned out to be one of the most unexpectedly joyful parts of my entire trip.

Yes — dancing! Not the quiet, background piano you might expect, but lively, joyful music that had travelers from across the globe clapping, laughing, and getting up to move. For a few hours that night, we weren’t strangers. We were fellow voyagers, connected by the rhythm of the sea and the joy of the moment.
